DAOS – automatic intraoral scanner
Subject of the project
The subject of the project is the Deventiv Automatic Oral Scanner (DAOS) DAOS, after being placed in the patient’s mouth, will perform automatic imaging of teeth and gums with high accuracy, speed and without the active participation of the operator, i.e. without active manual operation of the operator to perform the examination.
As a result of the device’s work, a standard 3D model of the oral cavity will be created, in the form of a computer file, necessary for planning dental treatment, including, among others, prosthetic, implant and orthodontic treatment and designing the geometry of prostheses, implantological templates and orthodontic appliances.
The scanner will replace commonly used, inconvenient dental impressions, based on alginate or silicone mass,
as well as manual dental scanners that require the active involvement of the operator during the scanning process
and provide little repeatable results.
Goal of the project
The aim of the project is to develop as a result of R&D work a new product for the dental market, which is the Deventiv Automatic Oral Scanner (DAOS).
The aim of the project is to increase the level of technological readiness of the solution from TRL 3 to TRL 6.
